Hi Steve - Very much agree with most of your commentary, I like the Blackwolf courses a lot! Probably played them 15 times. Went to college a little east of Lawsonia, arranged my schedule junior and senior years to have one day a week free and, weather permitting, was out walking the Links course. Played the Bog for the first time last years (twice) and am going back a bunch this year. Got the oppertunity to play Erin Hills this year - FANTASTIC!!! Some of the more notable and less noticed muni's in Southeastern Wisconsin that should be considered for any cheesehead road trip include - Naga-Waukee in Waukesha, Washington County in Hartford, Ives Grove in Racine, Brown Deer / Dretzka / Oakwood all part of Milwaukee County Parks. One more overlooked course - if you're playing Sand Valley stop by Lake Arrowhead, great 36 hole layout, bent grass fairways, typically overlooked especially with the big notable neighbor literally next door.
